Continue to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, where you’ll see impressive statues and relics from Egypt’s earliest days. After the tour, return to your hotel in Cairo.

Early in the morning, drive to Alexandria, Egypt’s beautiful coastal city on the Mediterranean Sea. Begin with a visit to Kom El-Deka, where the remains of a Roman amphitheater are located. Then, explore the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, an underground wonder that blends Egyptian and Roman styles. See Pompey’s Pillar, a massive granite column standing proudly in the city, and end your tour at the Citadel of Qaitbay, a fortress built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria. In the evening, drive back to Cairo and return to your hotel.
